Support Us

Now more than ever, we need your support. There are a variety of ways for you to help the Jacksonville Public Library continue to offer the programs and services our community depends on. Read more about how to support us here.

Donate to the Jacksonville Public Library
Contribute to your community’s best resource for lifelong learning by donating to the Jacksonville Public Library. Our Gift Book Program is a unique way to celebrate or honor family or friends, your favorite organization or significant life event. It’s also the perfect gift for the person who has “everything.” It’s green, sustainable and supports lifelong learning for all members of the community. For each monetary gift received, library staff will purchase a book from one of the subject areas you suggest. Visit our Donations Page to learn more. Questions? Call 630-4637 or e-mail jpldev@coj.net.

Ask state lawmakers to continue funding State Aid to Libraries. Without it, Duval County would lose more than $1 million in both state and federal aid. Literacy programs, funds to purchase books and other materials, furniture and equipment would be greatly reduced.

  1. I want to express my appreciation for the Children’s LIbrary Staff at Main. My son regularly attends the Thursday afternoon Art Club and Dramarama. These programs are the highlights of his week. Because attending these programs is contingent on his behavior at school during the week he constantly strives to “stay on A” and always completes his homework. We both look forward to Thursday afternoons. I believe these programs are a valuable asset to our community and fervently hope that is recognized by the powers that be. Thanks again!

  2. I agree with the hours cut. The wave of the future is online which can run effectively during the 5 day work week. Thanks or keping the library effective for us citizens.

  3. We love the library! We frequent the Beaches branch and Pablo Creek. Everyone is so nice and helpful and at the Beaches they have watched my children grow from toddlers to pre teens. The whole family enjoys checking out books and DVD’s. So sad it has come to cutting library services! We appreciate what has always been available to us and the helpfulness of the staff at both branches. Thank you and hang in there!
